The Challenge

A pioneering leader in the wearables industry, ProGlove is committed to fostering a positive and engaging work environment. Known for innovation, the company sought to improve its overall people management efficiency, as business growth uncovered challenges for the People team and managers.

Before adopting Leapsome, ProGlove struggled with inconsistent performance review processes and needed a unified tracking of employee development, goals, and feedback. Their previous HR tools limited the company’s ability to manage and analyze employee data; data fragmentation led to missed opportunities for employee engagement and productivity and contributed to higher attrition rates.

Eva Gallee, Senior People Business Partner at ProGlove, highlighted the impact of retention struggles on company finances and employee morale: 

“It’s a concern, having people leaving at a higher tenure, especially if they have a lot of expertise in the company. But for the first-year leavers, too, it’s a high cost to re-hire, and — if you have to replace them again and again — there is a lot of frustration in the team regarding onboarding efforts.”

With these challenges, the team at ProGlove saw a clear need for a robust, efficient, and centralized system to manage employee data more effectively and provide insights. There was also a pressing need for a platform that could facilitate communication between managers and their teams, especially regarding feedback and career development.

The Solution

After evaluating several people management solutions, ProGlove implemented Leapsome in 2019. The company was able to address its challenges by combining multiple functionalities into a single platform to enable smoother workflows and better data integration.

As Leapsome introduced new modules, ProGlove adopted almost the entire suite of tools to provide a unified solution for performance reviews, real-time feedback, learning and development tracking, robust engagement surveys, and additional features to enable managers. 

“A big part of our People work happens through Leapsome — we have many manager touch points there, such as pulse surveys where managers gain a good overview over their team’s mood and health. 

We also have a yearly talent assessment cycle, with performance reviews and career development conversations tracked through Leapsome.

Managers prepare these meetings through the Meetings function, set up developmental goals, and track them over the quarter. Additionally, we track company goals through Leapsome.”

Turning survey insights into impact 

ProGlove’s People team generated immediate impact through comprehensive data analysis from tracking employee engagement and performance metrics. Being able to delve deeper into employee sentiment and engage with survey results allowed the People team and managers to address concerns proactively, significantly enhancing responsiveness to employee needs. 

Leapsome Surveys is also supporting ProGlove in addressing drops in engagement and employee morale, identifying areas for improvement, and developing targeted action plans.

“Without Leapsome, we would lose a lot of our People work — especially on engagement scores, which are embedded into our company goals.

We track these scores regularly in management meetings and present them to the entire company with action plans to show what we’re working on. Leapsome and the survey analytics functions give us a lot more visibility.”

ProGlove is conducting biweekly pulse surveys with five questions that rotate quarterly. Thanks to this rotation, the team can cover 33 questions throughout the quarter and track how different categories and questions develop (including concrete engagement and eNPS scores). By closely monitoring these changes, the company can react quickly to dips in employee sentiment or engagement.

By facilitating immediate responses to employee feedback, ProGlove is fostering a culture of open communication and impactful initiatives. Eva detailed this process further:

“The feedback employees give us in the comments that we can react to, where we can get into conversations with people (also anonymously if they prefer), helps us define the bigger action plans based on survey results.”

Defining high performers with a streamlined review process 

ProGlove has also streamlined its performance review processes and built a feedback culture, encouraging peer feedback sharing via Leapsome’s Reviews and Praise features. 

What’s more, ProGlove uses Leapsome AI during its yearly performance assessment cycle to improve the quality of company-wide feedback, as the tool can turn just a few bullet points into something that employees feel is more meaningful.

With these improved performance reviews, the team set the groundwork for more effective employee development and fairer compensation decisions.

“Metrics we are now measuring for compensation decisions are performance and growth potential, which we visualize in a nine-box grid in Leapsome. 

Seeing how many high performers and people with great potential we have in the company factors into many decisions — like succession planning and defining action plans for how to best support team members in their careers. This also applies to people on the lower end of the performance spectrum.”

Using data from Leapsome Reviews and Competency Frameworks, ProGlove defined 10% of the company as high performers. Retaining these team members is a core company goal, supported by insights from the exit interviews run for every person leaving the company.

Tracking progress with meetings and goals 

Employee development is a key driver of retention. That’s why, in 2023, ProGlove established a structured framework for regular career development conversations, which managers and reports are encouraged to have at least once a year. 

With a designated template in Leapsome Meetings, managers can easily set up these career development conversations with best-practice questions, documentation, and notes for managers and reports to understand what is expected of them. 

These conversations also form the basis for the developmental goals that employees define with their managers and track in Leapsome. According to Eva, this helps employees set meaningful goals, leading to higher engagement, motivation, and, ultimately, goal attainment. 

With its progress scoring, Leapsome also provides an aspect of gamification for career development. With 75% of employees having a development goal and updating these regularly, Goals are extensively used across the company.

The Result

With 85% of the company regularly using Leapsome, the platform has become a cornerstone for enhancing managerial capabilities and employee engagement at ProGlove. 

Since implementing Leapsome, the organization has had remarkable improvements across several HR metrics:

In recent years, ProGlove has noted a drastic reduction in voluntary attrition rates, which have reached historical lows due to improved managerial responsiveness and employee development strategies.

“Learning and development have been crucial in reducing our attrition rate. The same goes for having managers more engaged with their teams, which are now better trained and enabled. 

We’re also giving managers the tools they need to manage low performance just as well as high performers and to create development conversations for everyone.
There are a lot of things we established that allowed managers to help their team members grow — and, in the end, stay with the company.”


After tracking their engagement score for just two quarters, ProGlove already saw a clear increase in their results—especially in the category of professional growth. They can clearly pinpoint which areas still need work. Overall, the new survey process, analytics, and direct response feature to survey comments have drastically improved communication lines. 

“Having managers more engaged with employees and having leadership training for all of our leaders also massively contributed to the team’s happiness. With Leapsome, we saw that their scores in the survey poll around manager support increased. The investment really benefited both the managers and their teams, and we’re very proud of that,” says Eva, reflecting on the impact their Leapsome-supported initiatives have had on ProGlove.


Aside from employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention, ProGlove also noted an uptick in productivity and performance density across the company — one that can be linked to the high manager activity rates, accessible insights, and informed initiatives they realized with Leapsome.

The platform’s consolidated features have not only empowered managers to better support their teams but also streamlined workflows for the People team. 

“It helps if you have more things combined into one tool, if you understand that this one tool can help you, then also track using the analytics function, and you can keep up with your people data there. Also, as a manager specifically, having all employee tasks or things that you have to do as a manager in one tool helps you keep up with all the People work that is ongoing.”

What’s next for ProGlove and Leapsome?

Looking ahead, ProGlove plans to further utilize the capabilities of Leapsome to enhance managerial effectiveness and organizational efficiency. 

The focus for 2025 is to leverage additional features such as refined meeting management and advanced review mechanisms to continue driving leadership development and fostering a high-performance culture. The team also plans to drive more professional development via the Learning module, allocating 5% of each employee’s working hours to personal growth initiatives.
